Why choose a matcha tea subscription?
With a matcha tea subscription you will automatically receive a new package of matcha tea every other month.  You also save $3 per order and pay only $2 flat rate shipping.  This is a simple convenient way to wake up everyday to a fresh vibrant bowl of matcha tea.
 
How do I chose more than one tin per order?
If 30g (15-20 servings) is not enough for your daily habit, you may increase the number of tins per order by using the "QTY" field above.  For example, enter "2" to receive 2 new tins of matcha with every order. This is an excellent option for frequent drinkers, households, roommates and offices.

When will I be billed?
Your credit card will be billed the day you sign up for the subscription and then every eight weeks after that.
 
When will the subscription expire?
Whenever you like.  You can cancel at anytime simply by e-mailing your cancel request to orders@matchasource.com or calling 1 877 9+MATCHA (1 877 962 8242.)

Can I give a subscription as a gift?
Absolutely.  Just fill in the correct shipping address and we will take care of the rest.  To set a specified duration to your gift, call 877 962 8242 to set-up your custom plan.
 
Are subscriptions refundable?
We take great care to send a quality product in a timely manner.  If there is a problem with your order, please contact us to tell us about it.  Unopened packages can usually be returned for a full refund.
 
Are there any other hidden fees?
No.  The order price of your subscription includes all shipping fees.

Matcha Tea Tips

• Once opened store matcha in an air tight, light tight container in the refrigerator
• Use best quality spring or filtered water available to you
• Never use boiling water as this will burn the tea and impart a bitter taste
• Experiment with different amounts of tea and liquid. There are no rules.

This thin-grade matcha tea is blended with Gymnema Sylvestre, an herb known as the "Sugar Destroyer". Gymnema inhibits the absorption of sugar in the intestine and also "blocks" the taste of sugar on the palate. Gymnema is often used in the Ayurvedic community to control Type I and Type II Diabetes. Tasting Note:  Appearance, Aroma and Flavor
Sugar Destoyer Matcha with Gymnema tea is bright green and has the consistency of fine talcum powder.  The color is slightly subdued when compared to a pure matcha.  The aroma starts sweet and creamy like a quality matcha and finishes with a hint of bitter herbs.  The taste of Sugar Destroyer is grassy and pungent with a distinct bitter note.
 

Matcha Preparation
Place 1/2 to 1 tsp. matcha (2 bamboo tea scoops) in a matcha bowl, then pour 60 ml (2 oz) of steaming hot water (180 degrees) into the bowl.  Rapidly beat with a bamboo whisk until surface becomes foamy. You may also use an electric frother, but be sure to use a deep glass in lieu of a shallow bowl.
