This sifter and canister set is recommended for use with 100g packages. It's ideal for the Suisen and Wakatake matcha ingredient grades. Sift the entire package into the air-tight canister and store in the refrigerator to preserve freshness and taste. Spatula included, holds 100g of tea.

The set has two pieces: the sifter and the canister. The sifter has an extra outer ring that will allow you the place the sifter on top of the canister for sifting. Or take away the extra ring and the sifter fits perfectly inside the canister.

In Japanese, the canister reads "Koyamaen." What does it mean? It's name of the Japanese tea company we source our matcha from. The history of Koyamaen dates back to the 1600's when Kyujiro Koyama began tea cultivation in Ogura, Japan. Koyamaen is known for the highest standard of quality in its matcha production.

Note: Avoid using water to clean this sifter. Water will cause it to rust. To clean out excess matcha, tap the sifter over the sink, or use a dry brush.
